What is Rock?
Rock music is any music created by an individual for personal reasons rather than commercial goals, often with an emphasis on instrumental solos. However, rock music also refers to particular musical genres that have emerged from this genre, such as alternative or heavy metal, punk rock, British invasion pop groups, and heavy metal bands from the 70s and 80s to present-day artists.

Joe Strummer was born John Mellor Saunders on February 11, 1952, in Stepney, England. He is best known as the lead singer and guitarist of The Clash. He released three studio albums with them, including “London Calling” (1979), “Lost in the Supermarket” (1981), and “Cut the Crap” (1985). He was also a member of The 101ers with Mick Jones. They released one album called “The Snapper” in 1982 before splitting up.

The second solo album, “Mondo Bongo,” was released in 1989. They released two albums together, including “Streetcore” (2003) and “Global A Go-Go” (2006).

He was moved up to 2nd place in 2009 and continues to remain there today.
